David`s Restaurant in Roanoke Rapids

The hubby and I have been twice in a few years. Not on the top of our places to eat. Pricey menu. We ate from the Buffett. It was okay. Lots of people really enjoy this place. It's just not for me. Bathroom is tiny. Some of the staff not very friendly at all. More for the older crowd after church go there. Environment is cute and laid back. Not bad just not for me.

Interesting place. A little twighlight zone-like. Food ok. I would recommend a visit just to experience the ambiance

If you are in the area you should eat here. Its what dining was like 40 years ago before microwaves and Cisco foods was the purveyor to every restaurant. The food is more .... complex, flavorful, artful than the fare served at chain resturants. It was so good I would plan my passage through the state so I could eat here again and again.

David(the owner) is very personable. He might visit your table, and see how you are doing. Not because it's a restaurant, but because he cares. The food is delicious, and everything is cooked from scratch. I highly recommend his chocolate chess pie!

Mr. Watson is always a great chef!!! As of 29May19 David's restaurant will only provide catering services due to personal health reasons... So sorry to hear...I hope the health matters will only improve 💕

David's is a great restaurant that offers a little class, a warm atmosphere, and great service.

The atmosphere is homey and interestingly eclectic. The food was fresh and we'll prepared. The oysters were phenomenal.

We travel about twice a year between Wasington DC and Wilmington NC, and we usually stop at David's once for a nice, relaxed "sit down" dinner, The extensive menu, the preparation of food, and the service have always been terrific. It's our favorite roadhouse!

I was expecting a lot and was really really looking forward...dark slow service ...all that I could chuck up to not my style..but the food ugh mediocre all best I was very disappointed.

What a treat! We stumbled onto David's one Sunday after church. The Sunday buffet reminded me of Sunday dinner at grandma's house. Everything was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely will return!

Food very expensive,and not worth the money. I can go to Logan's steak house and eat for almost the same and get more food for the money. And alot better. Sorry Davids

Just awful. We went for Sunday brunch after reading the reviews. The “salad bar”was brown, iceberg lettuce, pale tomatoes & limp cucumbers. Everything covered in gravy. The carpet was filthy & stained. I went to test them for possibly catering my daughter’s wedding. I looked at the catering menu—it was from the 70’s. We couldn’t get out fast enough.

Pleasantly surprised! Steak was spot on!

The food was fabulous, the service was excellent! Our server Fabiola was delightful and helped make our anniversary dinner perfect! We will definitely visit again in the future. We highly recommend David's in Roanoke Rapids.

Rib eyes where pounded out so thin that there was no way to cook them medium to medium rare

Quaint setting, friendl staff, good service.My wife had soft-shell crabs and loved it.I had dry chewy lamb chops.We'll try David's one more time, when passing though to or from Florida.Update, evedently the only thing on the menu that looked good, again, were the lamb chops. I didn't realize that's what I ordered the first time. No better.From now on no David's for us.

Visited Davids Restaurant on the way to Florida. It is located in a quaint town but has easy parking on the street. The restaurant has a surprising atmosphere and old time charm. Reminds me of an upscale old hotel from the 1960's. The menu is very large, the service is great and the food is reasonably priced. We met the owner and he custom made the sea food plate of halibut shrimp and oysters based on my preferences that was fabulous. I don't think there are many restaurants in this area of Virginia/North Carolina that have this type of food prepared so well. In my opinion it is worth the trip to this unique restaurant.

My boyfriend and I decided to try something different. We ended up at David's restaurant and I'm glad we went there. The food was very delicious. The people that worked there were very polite and friendly. We will definitely go back again.

Very precise & everything is always put together well as a meal that melts in your mouth.

We went there for our Anniversary. First time there for both of us!! Food was delicious!!!! Would definitely like to go back!!!! She crab soup was excellent. Salad dressings were home made/freshly made and were delicious!!! A Very classy place to dine in Roanoke Rapids NC!!!!!!

My fiance and I are from Pennsylvania, but we are here temporarily for his job. Today was my birthday and he surprised me with going here. He knew nothing other than reading the reviews and decided it was worth checking out. When we got there we were 1 of 3 tables and nice music was playing. We were seated and recieved our drinks in 2 minutes tops. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo with chicken and per my request they made it cajun chicken and my fiance ordered the filet with a baked potatoe. Salads came out very fast and we both loved the ranch dressing. We had a slight doubt of the place based off of some of the other reviews, but they were shut out when we tried our meals. I loved the chicken fettuccine so much! He loved his filet also, cooked perfectly. Our server was very friendly also. It is on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for! Very nice.

We stayed for the night in Roanoke Rapids and someone suggested that we go to David's for dinner. We loved it!!! The atmosphere is so charming and the service and food was excellent. The fried veggies as an appetizer was really good!! The veggies were fresh and the batter wan't overkill at all. We both had steaks and they were wonderful. David came and sat with us for a bit with his glass of wine and it was all so warm and cozy.

Prime rib worst ever, $72, feel like I've been robbed

Treated very poorly there on valentines day ten years ago. Won dinner frm Drugco I think it was because my husband and I were blk. I left feeling hurt and crying and I have never been BK. I guess we were not high class enough.

My wife and I absolutely love this restaurant.
